The wood is un treated, so will need a coat of something if you want it to keep looking good. Especially in close contact with oils! The previous one I bought was lightly varnished, so I was expecting this one to be too. The wood is brittle, so take care with it. But I couldn't find a box with all the ready made compartments for anywhere near this price elsewhere. The clasp is secure, but a carry handle, or some kind of strap would be a useful addition, as the box is heavy when you have 100 bottles in it! I use mine for Homeopathy bottles.

Box is mostly as described and left hand side fits 16 bottles either 9ml or even 20ml easily. However the spaces to the right are too small for any of these sizes without removing all of the partitions which means the bottles there are not held securely in place. Maybe if you have very small bottles or are using this for something else that wouldn't be a problem.
