I've had these for several years now, and am just about to purchase some more to store additional items - they are by far the best vacuum bags I've used. Most others seem to reinflate at some point, or have one or two bags per pack that just never work properly - not so with these. My previous ones are still going strong after 2+ years and numerous reinflations. I use them to store spare bedding which is only used for guests, including large and bulky memory foam mattress toppers. The jumbo size cope admirably with these, and the smaller sizes work well for duvets and pillows.

Easy to use and they compact things like quilts etc so they take up much less room. Good value and seem sturdy. I haven't tried to reuse them yet but I think they will be fine for this.

Good, strong storage bags. Held a vacuum for a while but most failed after a few days. But still better than putting stuff in bin bags and tying the ends. I will try another brand. Have tried a few over the years but they all fail eventually regardless of price and brand. Maybe other 5 star buyers are lucky, maybe I am doing something wrong.

These bags are required, well ahead, for some holiday packing, where we are taking more clothes than usual. The pack included a pump, which is what attracted me, as we would, obviously, need to pack again for our return journey and the pump is handy at our destination. The first time I used the pump, it seemed like nothing was happening and I was quite displeased! However with some persistence I got the air drawn out and it seems the bags will work well. UPDATE DEC2017: Packing for real. Unscrew the top of the valve (cover) and LEAVE WELL ALONE the roundal of rubberised material you see under it. It acts as the valve. The supplied pump screws into the valve for very easy use to extract air, which is on the up-stroke of the pump. I would prefer to extract air using a vacuum cleaner, but on our eventual reurn journey we would not have one available! The extraction is fine, though I think a vacuum would make a difference. One of the bags leaked as I was pumping. I could hear the leak which seemed to come from the zip, but I could not stop it. ANOTHER THING: On the zip is a sliding 'key'. This slides across the strips that interlock, but it may only make a partial engagement of the top & bottom strips. Make sure the key is on correctly and sits above the two strips that lock. Slide the key from one side to the other. THEN, use your fingers to go slowly along the length of the strips and press hard to ensure the strips either side of the back fully interlock. I didn't know what good size to buy, so I started with jumbo size. It's really big! Great for bedding and pillows. Yes I can store sweaters in jumbo bag, but I would only fill up half and fold the bag after sucking the air out. That way, it doesn't take too much footprint on my closet shelf. However, it is kind waste to use too big bag for smaller stuff. So I then bought medium and large size. They work fine. But I do notice the jumbo bag is a lot thicker than medium size bag, a lot more sturdier feel. Another thing I noticed is I have to set my Dyson vacuum at maximum power to really suck out the air.

We bought these vacuum storage bags after combining two households - Turns out that when someone has a couple more blankets than they need, and the other looks like they are planning on opening a bedding warehouse, you start losing space pretty quickly. These bags are great for solving this particular problem. Being able to fit a couple into the bag, and then using the vacuum to compress them to the thickness of one has kept my sanity intact. We used our vacuum cleaner to seal these so I can't speak to the effectiveness of the hand pump. The vacuum compresses them quickly, but I imagine there would be a lot of elbow grease involved in doing this manually. We also threw in a couple of dryer sheets before compressing - Hopefully, it will make the sheets smell fresh when we open these up again in the future. As this was our first use, I can't speak to how well they stand up to repeated uses... I'll try to update this review once we got to that point

Very easy to use and does what it's suppose to do, I bought the large to place my sweaters into, pack flat to avoid wrinkles? Holds a good amount of clothes even though I only packed it up to the blue vacuum valve. I needed my packs smaller to place into a large box for storage. Conclusion: Good product and durable material. First time ever using something like this and truly appreciated the free hand pump.
